Alckmin’s Plane Experiences Technical Issue Prompting Vice President to Change Aircraft

The aircraft carrying the Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services, Geraldo Alckmin, experienced technical issues during a stop in Cali, Colombia, on Friday (29). The landing was already scheduled for refueling when a problem was identified in one of the semi-hydraulic hoses of the plane. According to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), although the aircraft was still able to continue the journey to Brazil, as a precautionary measure, it was recommended that the group wait on Colombian soil. Alckmin and ministers Simone Tebet and Carlos Fávaro were aboard the plane at the time of the issues. A second aircraft departed from Brasília Air Base at 10 am to retrieve the Vice President and his team. The landing in the federal capital is expected around 9 pm this Friday. As per the official statement from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services, all passengers are well and safe.
