Moraes orders release of salary and removes ankle monitor from Marcos do Val

Minister released accounts and cards of the senator after a request from the Senate’s presidency. On Friday (29), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, from the Supreme Federal Court (STF), ordered the removal of the electronic ankle monitor and the release of Senator Marcos do Val’s salary. In the decision, the minister also ordered the unlocking of the senator’s social media accounts, Pix keys, and credit and debit cards. However, the prohibition of Do Val leaving the country and the seizure of his passports remain in place. The changes in the precautionary measures were reconsidered by the minister after a request from the Senate’s presidency. According to the statement, the precautions were causing a ‘temporary incapacity to exercise the mandate’ for Do Val.
