Europeans ready to abandon sanctions on Iran if nuclear concerns are addressed

UNITED NATIONS: European powers indicated on Friday that they would be prepared to abandon a new round of sanctions on Iran if the country takes steps to address concerns about its nuclear program in the coming month. However, Tehran dismissed the offer as insincere. Britain, France, and Germany, collectively known as the E3, made the announcement, expressing their readiness to hold off on imposing additional sanctions on Iran if it demonstrates a commitment to resolving the issues surrounding its nuclear activities. The E3 also stated that they are aiming to maintain the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly referred to as the Iran nuclear deal.
