Violent protests over the death of a motorcycle taxi driver hit by the police in Indonesia left at least three dead and forced the social network TikTok to suspend its live broadcasts on Saturday, the 30th, to avoid inflaming the demonstrators. The deaths were recorded during a fire in the city of Makassar on the island of Sulawesi, and the protests spread to various cities in the country, including the capital, Jakarta. Authorities are investigating the causes of the fire and working to restore calm amidst the escalating tensions.
