On August 31st, the Greater Bay Area Cultural and Sports Center’s swimming and diving pool hosted its first charity event – the Olympic diving champion teaching exhibition. At the event, Olympic champions Zhang Yanquan and Chen Aisen, along with members from the Guangdong Province and Guangzhou diving teams, showcased their skills in various relay swimming races, while the audience received special gifts from Nansha. The successful completion of this series of charity events at the center has provided valuable experience for its future regular operations.
As Olympic champion and head coach of the Guangzhou diving team, Zhang Yanquan stated: ‘Whether on the springboard or platform, the equipment and water temperature here are very professional. The young athletes training here are very excited.’
