Bolsonaro’s Trial at the Supreme Court: When Will the Verdict Be Announced?

The question on everyone’s minds is: When will the verdict of Bolsonaro’s trial be announced? The process is expected to be reviewed by the First Division of the Supreme Court over five sessions, held on the days of September 2, 3, 9, 10, and 12. As per the court’s detailed procedure, the trial is to be divided into three stages – oral arguments, reading of votes for conviction or acquittal, and, in case of a conviction, votes on sentencing. The first session on Tuesday will commence with the reading of the report by Minister Alexandre de Moraes. Following this, the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, will speak and have up to two hours to present the charges.
