Frequent Rainfall to Bring High Volumes in the South in the First Half of the Month

September, which began today, will have high to very high volumes of rainfall in the first half of the month in parts of the South of Brazil, especially in Rio Grande do Sul, due to successive episodes of instability and short periods of a few days without precipitation. According to the analysis of MetSul Meteorologia, rainfall volumes in the next ten days are expected to exceed the average precipitation for September in some parts of Rio Grande do Sul, which is significant considering that monthly precipitation averages are high at this time of year. On this Monday (1), as it had already happened on Sunday, the rain concentrated more in the West of Rio Grande do Sul, close to Argentina, with precipitation recorded in the areas of São Borja, São Luiz Gonzaga, Santiago, and Alegrete.
