Luiz Eduardo Cunha Gonçalves, known as Dudu, who is an advisor appointed by TH at the Alerj (Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly), and Gabriel Dias de Oliveira, a Red Command trafficker known as ‘Indio do Lixão’, were also arrested. The Alerj stated that it became aware of the search and seizure warrants being executed at TH’s office. The proceedings were monitored by the Assembly’s Prosecutor’s Office, which provided support to the competent authorities. The State Legislative Assembly affirmed that it is following the case closely. Luciano Martiniano da Silva, known as ‘Pezão’, Edgar Alves de Andrade, known as ‘Doca’, the Red Command boss, and Manoel Cinquine Pereira, known as ‘Paulista’, are also targets of the operation. In 2022, he received 15,105 votes and secured a seat in the Alerj. He also advocated for projects aimed at job creation and the empowerment of the elderly. The MDB (Brazilian Democratic Movement) announced that it had decided to expel the parliamentarian. Furthermore, the party stated, ‘TH was no longer in line with the party’s guidelines in his stances and votes in the Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly, and he will no longer be part of the membership.’ CNN is trying to reach out to the state deputy’s defense.
