Venezuelan Minister Accuses US of Summary Executions in Attack on Alleged Drug Traffickers and Calls on Bolivarian Militia

Venezuelan Minister of the Interior Diosdado Cabello has accused the United States of committing extrajudicial and summary executions at sea, following a drone attack on a boat carrying alleged drug traffickers. The US government claimed to have destroyed a vessel allegedly belonging to the Venezuelan criminal group Tren de Aragua, carrying drugs from Venezuela. ‘They assassinated 11 people without any trial. I ask: can this be done?’ Cabello, considered the number two in Chavismo, said on his weekly television program. ‘No suspicion of drug trafficking justifies extrajudicial executions at sea.’
