In Erode, opposition to the resignation of K.A. Sengottaiyan from his party position intensified as the former MP and Erode city north district women’s wing organizer Sathiyabama resigned. This move follows a similar wave of resignations in the K.A. Sengottaiyan camp within the party’s legislative assembly constituency. The opposition to the resignations came amidst growing tensions within the party. Several party members and leaders supported the resignations, attracting around 1,500 workers to join the rally backing Sengottaiyan’s decision.
