Lula gathers Brics to take a stand on tariff hikes, wars and COP30

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is participating in a virtual meeting with leaders from Brics countries – a bloc of emerging nations from the Global South – on Monday morning (8). The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. The summit was organized by the Brazilian government to discuss various aspects of multilateralism. Lula has been actively engaging in international dialogues, addressing issues such as tariff hikes, conflicts, and the upcoming COP30 climate conference. The virtual summit aims to strengthen solidarity among the Brics nations and define a joint stance on global challenges.
