Anvisa Prohibits Sale of Supplements due to Irregular Manufacturing

According to Article 46 of Decree-Law 986/1969, factories and companies that handle or transport food need to have prior approval from the municipal, state, or district health surveillance. The lack of this authorization makes production illegal, subject to seizure and interdiction by the competent authorities. Furthermore, according to Anvisa, consuming goods under these conditions can cause health problems.
