The Israel Defense Forces launched Operation Summit of Fire on Tuesday afternoon against the Hamas leadership abroad. The leaders of the Palestinian Islamist organization were gathered in Doha to discuss the latest ceasefire proposal when the Israeli attack took place. Hamas has confirmed that five of its members, including the son of the group’s leader, were killed in the Israeli strike in Doha. This marks Qatar as the sixth country to be targeted by Israel in its campaign against Hamas and its allies.
