Trump Hopes Charlie Kirk’s Shooter Receives Death Penalty

President Donald Trump stated on Friday (12) that he hopes Charlie Kirk’s killer receives the death penalty. The suspect’s name has not been disclosed by the police. ‘Well, I hope he is found guilty, I imagine, and I hope he receives the death penalty,’ Trump said. ‘What he did to Charlie Kirk, he was the best person, he didn’t deserve this. He worked so hard and so well that everyone liked him,’ Trump stated. Trump made these comments during a live interview on the ‘Fox & Friends’ program. Additionally, Trump mentioned that Utah Governor Spencer Cox signaled his intention to seek the death penalty for Kirk’s shooter. ‘In Utah, they have the death penalty, and you have a very good governor there,’ Trump said. ‘The governor, I know him well, is very committed to the death penalty in this case.’ When asked if the attack against Charlie Kirk was a ‘unique’ and isolated case, Trump said it ‘appears to be.’ Trump also mentioned that he did not watch the video of Kirk’s death, which went viral on social media and depicted the seriousness of the influencer’s case. ‘I didn’t want to watch it, I heard about it,’ Trump said. ‘I mean, I heard, I heard enough – I didn’t want to watch, I didn’t want to remember Charlie that way.’
