Himanshu Mathur, a resident of Delhi, found himself in a nightmare after being lured by the promise of a job in Australia. The agent who enticed him with the prospect of an Australian work visa led him to Iran, where both Mathur and an associate were forcibly taken. The perpetrators demanded a ransom of ₹1 crore but eventually agreed to settle for ₹20 lakh, subjecting Mathur to a horrendous ordeal in the process.
