Chinese Team’s Three 110m Hurdles Runners Stops at Semifinals in Tokyo Athletics World Championships

Despite being prepared for the difficulty of the competition and being in top athletic form, China’s three 110m hurdles runners were eliminated in the semifinals of the Tokyo Athletics World Championships on September 16th. Post-race, they showed signs of regret, frustration, and hopes for the future.

In the semifinals of that day, the first group to compete was Liu Junxi, who had just run a personal best of 13.23 seconds in the preliminaries the day before. The second group featured Xu Zhuo, whose personal best was 13.22 seconds. Ten days earlier, he ran 13.23 seconds at the Beijing leg of the Continental Tour.
