Iranian authorities executed a man on Wednesday accused of spying for Israel’s Intelligence services, after his sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court following the rejection of his appeal. The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was charged with passing sensitive information to the Mossad, Israel’s Intelligence agency. The execution took place amid heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, with each accusing the other of various provocations and security threats.
