Egyptian Museum Bracelet Dating Back 3,000 Years Stolen and Melted Down

Egypt’s interior ministry recently disclosed that a 3,000-year-old gold bracelet, originating from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, was stolen and subsequently melted down for monetary gain. The bracelet, believed to date back to the reign of King Amenemope, a pharaoh who ruled during the 10th century BC, mysteriously vanished from the museum. Authorities discovered that a restoration specialist illicitly removed the invaluable artefact and arranged for its sale through a jeweller. The ministry expressed deep concern over the irreplaceable loss, highlighting the cultural significance of such ancient treasures.
