Jiangxi Aviation Vocational College, founded in 1956, originated from the Nanchang 404 Amateur Technical School established by Hongdu Machinery Factory. In 2004, it was converted into a vocational college and in 2020, it became a non-profit private institution. The school inherits 70 years of revolutionary tradition and aviation defense genes, growing alongside China’s aviation industry. Leading aircraft designers, Lu Xiaopeng and Shi Ping, have previously served as school leaders. Jiangxi Aviation Vocational College is now operated by Zhitian Education Investment Company formed by the China Aeronautical Society and the Defense Industry Soboton Aviation, establishing a high-quality skills talent training base and an expert committee (Director, Academician Gan Xiaohua). The college is one of the first pilot colleges for cultivating military talents, a national modern apprenticeship school.
