Lula arrives in NY with his delegation: what to expect from his agenda in the US

The President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), and his delegation of Brazilian authorities landed in New York, United States, on Sunday (21). The focus will be Lula’s participation in the UN General Assembly, where heads of state from around the world annually speak and debate key geopolitical issues. Historically, Brazil is always the first to speak. The event begins on Tuesday (23). However, Lula’s agenda kicks off on Monday (22). At 12 p.m., Brasília time, the president has a meeting with TikTok’s CEO, Shou Zi Chew. At 4 p.m., he will attend the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Solution of the Palestinian Question and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. Finally, at 7 p.m., Lula will meet with the king and queen of Sweden. On Wednesday (24), Lula will take part in the second edition of the event ‘In Defense of Democracy and Against Extremism,’ organized by himself along with the presidents of Chile, Gabriel Boric; Spain, Pedro Sánchez; Colombia, Gustavo Petro; and Uruguay, Yamandú Orsi.
