One day after the protests against the Shielding PEC and the bill proposing amnesty for those convicted of anti-democratic acts, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), stated on Monday (22) that ‘now is the time to remove all these toxic agendas’. ‘It’s time to remove toxic agendas; let’s take these toxic agendas off the table because nobody can handle these discussions anymore, we have to look forward,’ Hugo said at a BTG Pactual event. ‘The protests yesterday show that our democracy is more alive than ever. Fifteen days ago we had other demands as well. I have a great respect for popular demonstrations, so I am happy to see people taking to the streets to defend what they believe in,’ he said.

Now is the time to remove all these toxic agendas from the table, says Hugo Motta
