On the evening of Monday, September 22, the airspace over Copenhagen’s main airport was dominated by unknown drones. Two to three large drones, capable of staying in the air for several hours, circled the airport terminal, causing concern among airport authorities. The drones flew at significant heights and their presence raised security alarms. The Danish authorities immediately initiated an investigation to determine the origin and purpose of the drones. Flights coming in and out of Copenhagen Airport were temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure.
