Iran Denies Seeking Nuclear Weapons, Rejects E3 Snapback Sanctions

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated at the UN General Assembly that his country has no intention of pursuing nuclear weapons. ‘I want to affirm once again, in front of this assembly, that Iran has never pursued and will never pursue the development of a nuclear bomb,’ he stated. Pezeshkian also refused to accept snapback sanctions from the E3 countries, showcasing Iran’s commitment to its position on nuclear armament. During his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, the two leaders discussed nuclear concerns and ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
