Russian electric car to receive protection from Kaspersky Lab against viruses

Russian startup Kama, set to launch the Russian electric car ‘Atom’ next year, disclosed that the new vehicle will operate like a mobile operating system platform with open API, allowing any developer to offer new services or functions. ‘Kaspersky Lab’ will help protect the system and data from malware. Teaming up with the Russian cybersecurity company, a unique technology for Russia was developed for application-level permission separation. Trusted software responsible for car control will coexist securely on a single electronic block with applications created by third-party developers. The system will provide flexibility and security in implementing new features and services.
