Cellphone from ‘Fofão’ revealed shooter in former police chief’s execution

The investigation into the death of former police chief Rui Ferraz Fontes, executed on September 15 in Praia Grande, pointed to the involvement of Rafael Marcell Dias Simões, known as ‘Jaguar’, as one of the shooters. The confirmation came after analyzing the cellphone of Luiz, known as ‘Fofão’, arrested for involvement in the crime. According to São Paulo’s Secretary of Public Security, Guilherme Derrite, messages and data extracted from the device showed that Fofão helped Jaguar escape and indicated his direct participation in the execution. ‘The shooter we can confirm is Jaguar, who is already in custody,’ he stated.
