The Philippine Navy (PN) has deployed BRP Artemio Ricarte (PS37) to Bitung, Indonesia for this year’s Maritime Training Activity (MTA) PHILINDO 2025, a bilateral exercise with the Indonesian Navy. The deployment, led by Commodore Peter Jempsun De Guzman, showcases the strong partnership between the two navies. De Guzman stated, ‘This joint exercise enhances our interoperability and strengthens our maritime capabilities.’ The wargames aim to improve coordination in naval operations and enhance security in the region. BRP Artemio Ricarte will engage in various training scenarios alongside Indonesian naval units. The exercise helps bolster regional security and fosters cooperation between the Philippine and Indonesian Navies. Both countries are committed to promoting stability and peace in the maritime domain.
