Shashidhar Murmu has been appointed as the new Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). He will be entrusted with this position for a term of three years, following the approval given today by the committee formed by the Central Government. Murmu will assume this role for the next three years. As of now, Murmu is taking over from Rajeshwar Rao, who received an extension of service, paving the way for Murmu to take over this position.
