Soares had been hospitalized for about five months at the Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in the city center, receiving treatment for complications related to spine problems. In recent years, the presenter underwent several surgeries on the spine due to pain and mobility issues, aiming to decompress nerves and improve circulation. He made history in Brazilian television alongside journalist Antero Grego, who passed away last year due to a brain tumor at the age of 69.
