India’s DGTR Initiates Anti-Dumping Probe on Solar, Mobile Imports from China; Glass from Malaysia, Indonesia

The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) in India has kicked off anti-dumping investigations into the import of solar encapsulants and mobile covers from China. In addition, a countervailing duty probe has been initiated on clear float glass imports from Malaysia and Indonesia. The complaints by RenewSys India and the All India Mobile Cover Manufacturer Association prompted these actions. The applicant alleged unfair trade practices and requested investigations into the matter. The involved parties will need to provide relevant information and cooperate with the probes. DGTR’s actions aim to protect the interests of domestic manufacturers and promote fair trade practices in the import sector.
