Director of the TIFF Program, Ichiyama Shozo, stated that they did receive several films from Indonesia but none made it through the selection process. The 38th Tokyo International Film Festival, held from October 27 to November 5, 2025, across various locations in Tokyo, did not showcase any Indonesian films. This information was reported by Tribune’s correspondent, Richard Susilo, from Japan. Despite the absence of Indonesian films in the festival, there is one animation that is still being considered by the committee.
