In a statement on Thursday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty revealed that Egypt, in collaboration with Qatar and Turkey, is actively engaging with Hamas to persuade the group to accept the peace proposal presented by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the long-standing conflict in Gaza. Abdelatty emphasized that diplomatic efforts are being made to bring all parties to the table for discussions towards a peaceful resolution. The Egyptian government is holding meetings with Hamas in an attempt to persuade them to support the plan that aims to bring an end to the nearly two-year-old war in Gaza.
