The National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival coincide, bringing a ‘red-letter day’ to the Wuxi cinema market. According to Maoyan Professional Edition data, the national box office exceeded 500 million yuan in the first two days of the National Day holiday, with strong performance in the Wuxi region. On October 1st, the first-day box office reached 3.6096 million yuan, and by 5 pm on the 2nd, the total box office surpassed 6.66 million yuan, with a total of over 168,000 tickets sold. Among them, the Golden Harvest Cinema in Wuxi (Guangmei Huizhujing store) was a ‘dark horse’ in terms of box office, topping the provincial box office on the first day and climbing to seventh place nationally on the 2nd day.
