The 2026 Spring/Summer Milan Fashion Week officially ended on September 29. During the seven-day fashion extravaganza, several brands welcomed new creative directors who debuted their first collections or new series. Vogue noted that the brands’ historical archives, classic elements, and iconic styles were the core sources of inspiration for most designers. For example, Fendi reimagined a series of classic handbags with intricate details. Prada continued to ‘break the conventional frameworks’ and displayed its consistent avant-garde attitude. Bottega Veneta revisited co-founder Renzo Zengiaro’s revolutionary ‘soft’ handbag craftsmanship. Armani paid tribute to its recently deceased founder with timeless elegant styles. This season, Chinese brands also made a notable appearance at Milan Fashion Week.
