In this context, Brazil reaffirms its conviction that the only path to a just, stable, and lasting peace in the Middle East is through the implementation of the two-state solution, with an independent and viable State of Palestine living side by side with Israel in peace and security within the 1967 borders, including the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Lastly, Brazil believes that any International Stabilization Force to be deployed in the region must have a carefully designed mandate duly approved by the United Nations Security Council.
