According to Yangtze Evening News, on October 4, Swedish ‘Eco-Activist’ Greta Thunberg was reportedly subjected to brutal treatment after being detained by the Israeli military.
On October 1, the Israeli Navy intercepted 42 ships from the ‘Global Resilience Flotilla’ carrying humanitarian supplies to Gaza, detaining over 470 activists.
On October 4, 137 detained activists were returned to Turkey, while Greta remained in custody. A Swedish diplomat who visited Greta revealed that she was locked in a cell infested with bedbugs, showing signs of dehydration, insufficient intake of water and food, and developing rashes on her skin.
Previously, the Israeli Foreign Ministry had dismissed reports of mistreatment of detainees as ‘outright lies’.
