U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Hamas and Israel have reached a consensus on the first phase of their ceasefire and prisoner exchange plan in the Gaza Strip. The U.S. President wrote on his ‘Truth Social’ platform on Wednesday, “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan.” Qatar mediators stated that more details of the agreement will be disclosed later.
