During the National Day holiday, news of a major breakthrough in solid-state lithium metal batteries set the industry abuzz. Led by Researcher Huang Xuejie from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a team comprising researchers from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, successfully developed an anion regulation technology. This innovation resolves the challenge of achieving close contact between the electrolyte and lithium electrode in all-solid-state lithium metal batteries, a key step towards practical applications. The research findings were published in the international academic journal ‘Nature Sustainability’ on the 7th.
