Iran has announced the suspension of the cooperation agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), signed earlier in August in Cairo, in response to the reinstatement of international sanctions against it two years ago. Foreign Minister Zarif detailed that the pact with the nuclear agency ‘has lost its validity.’ Iran’s decision comes after the United States’ attempt to reestablish UN sanctions on Tehran, despite opposition from other countries.
