The Israeli Army reported on Tuesday (14) that the Red Cross is on its way to a meeting point in southern Gaza, where ‘several coffins containing the bodies of deceased hostages will be handed over to its custody’. The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) asked the public, in their statement, ‘to act with sensitivity and await the official identification (of the bodies), which will be provided first to the families of the deceased’. The statement did not specify how many bodies the Red Cross is expected to receive.
