Israel Receives Remains of 4 More Hostages Killed by Hamas Terrorists

The Hamas terrorist group hurried on Tuesday (14) to ease the pressure on a fragile ceasefire in its war with Israel, returning the bodies of more deceased hostages. This move came after an Israeli military agency stated it would halve the deliveries of humanitarian aid to Gaza due to concerns that the group was returning the remains more slowly than agreed. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office confirmed that authorities received four deceased hostages. The Red Cross handed over the remains to the Israeli military authorities within Gaza. The bodies will be taken to the National Center for Forensic Medicine for identification, and families will be notified. This latest transfer of remains comes a day after Israel received the bodies of four other deceased hostages. Despite the development, it was unclear whether the Israeli military agency, known as COGAT, will proceed with its decision to allow entry into Gaza of only half of the 600 humanitarian aid trucks stipulated in the agreement.
