Delhi High Court orders blocking of social media platforms to curb online content that could incite violence against women!

The Delhi High Court has issued an interim order directing support to Jio Platforms Ltd in order to block access to platforms that could potentially incite violence against women by streaming the ICICI Women’s World Cup 2025 matches in violation of the law. Six domains were identified as potentially harmful and have been ordered to be blocked temporarily to prevent the dissemination of any content that could incite violence against women. The court has also ordered the submission of complete registration details within four weeks, including names, contact numbers, fee details, and KYC registrations. This detailed information is required to be submitted in compliance with the court’s directives.
