In the capital city of Dakka, Hashrat Shajalal, a fire broke out in the departure lounge of the international airport at around 2:15 pm today, spreading rapidly. Airport firefighters and aviation staff worked together to contain the fire, which is believed to have started due to an electrical fault. The airport authorities immediately suspended flight services as a safety precaution, causing disruptions for travelers. No casualties have been reported so far, but the extent of damage caused by the fire is still being assessed.
