A small contingent of British military officers has been sent to Israel to join a task force led by the United States in supporting stabilization efforts in Gaza, as confirmed by the UK defense ministry. The aim is to assist in the early stages of the truce between Israel and Hamas, following a request from the US. The UK’s involvement comes as part of the efforts by Gaza mediators – the United States, Egypt, and Qatar – to work towards stabilizing the ceasefire and advancing President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan.
