Douglas Sousa, father of Endrick, mentioned Palmeiras in a post about his son’s departure from Real Madrid. However, the 18-year-old striker is not expected to return to the club that nurtured him in the next transfer window. Journalist Gabriel Amorim, from Podporco, posted on Instagram about Endrick’s possible exit from Real Madrid and asked his followers about a potential return to Palmeiras. Endrick’s father responded: ‘Palmeiras would have to make an offer, [present] a project.’ The striker’s father’s comment reached the Palmeiras board, but the club knows that the player’s team’s priority is for him to continue in European football and will not enter negotiations. It was reported by UOL that Palmeiras would be very interested in repatriating the player, but sees the move as highly unlikely. The situation is similar to that of Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal. Both parties understand that there may be a reunion in the future, but not at this moment. Palmeiras sold Endrick to Real Madrid for 35 million euros (approximately $39 million) and the deal could reach 60 million euros ($67 million). Endrick lost his place at Real Madrid after an injury and agreed to a transfer to get more playing time. He has not played since May 18, when he got injured in a match against Sevilla. The striker’s goal is to have a strong start to 2026 in order to return to the Brazilian national team. The number 9 shirt remains vacant in Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
