Video shows duo suspected of killing policeman in Barreiro fleeing

The security cameras of a vehicle dealership captured the moment when the duo suspected of shooting a military police officer fled on Tuesday afternoon (10/21). The officer was killed after reportedly trying to prevent a robbery. The incident took place in the Tirol neighborhood, in the Barreiro region of Belo Horizonte. The 14-second recording shows one of the suspects, already on the motorcycle, accessing Nélio Cerqueira Avenue against traffic to wait for his accomplice. The second suspect, the passenger, is seen running, looking back, getting on the motorcycle, and quickly leaving the street. The officer’s death was confirmed at the crime scene. Relatives of the officer, including his wife, were present during the registration of the incident. The Civil Police forensic team arrived around 3 p.m. for standard procedures. As of the publication of this report, it had not been disclosed whether the duo suspected of involvement in the homicide had been located and arrested.
