STF decides to reopen investigation of Valdemar Costa Neto in the case of an attempted coup

The decision was made after Minister Alexandre de Moraes advocated for the resumption of investigations into Valdemar’s role in crimes such as organized crime and attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law. ‘I also determine, in line with the vote, the forwarding of full copies of Criminal Action 2694 to PET 1200, so that, pursuant to article 18 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the investigation into Valdemar Costa Neto is resumed,’ said Moraes.
