During an official visit to Indonesia, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced on Thursday (23) that he will be a candidate for re-election in the 2026 presidential elections. The leftist politician stated that he is prepared to run for a fourth term and said he has kept himself physically active in preparation for the upcoming electoral campaign. “I am ready for this new challenge and I am confident that I can continue to serve my country,” Lula said during a press conference in Jakarta.
