Low-Income Farmers Missing Bonus in Telangana.. What’s the Reason?

In Telangana, low-income farmers are missing out on a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal announced for procurement. Laziness for six months is causing delays in the distribution of this bonus to many farmers. A lot of farmers have not yet received this amount in their accounts. The main reason for this seems to be that the guidelines set by the agricultural department for low-income farmers are not being followed properly. If agricultural practices such as proper cultivation of crops, weed and pest control are not done correctly, officials clarify that farmers will not be eligible for the bonus.
