Archaeologists in Egypt recently unearthed an ancient fortress that was constructed along the historical military road mentioned in the Book of Exodus. The fortress, featuring 11 defense towers, was found at the Tell El-Kharouba archaeological site in Sheikh Zuweid, North Sinai. Dating back to the New Kingdom period, which spanned from approximately 1550 to 1070 B.C., the structure is believed to be around 3,000 years old. The biblical Exodus era is closely linked to this period. The newly discovered fortress lies along the Horus Military Road, a route connecting Egypt to Canaan. It is touted as one of the most substantial and essential fortresses ever found along this military road.
