Brazil supports Malaysia’s full membership in Brics, says Lula

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) stated on Monday, the 27th, in a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, that Brazil supports Malaysia’s entry as a full member of Brics. The Brazilian president praised Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and said he was impressed with the reception of the people and the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries. ‘I leave Malaysia with the best possible impression, for the friendliness of the people, the government, and the businessmen. Everywhere I go it seems like I already know everyone, it’s a bit like the Brazilian people,’ said the president.
